From 7 June 2019, UP Police is functioning from its new headquarters. The building is divided into four towers. DGP of UP Police sits on 9th floor of this beautiful looking 7-star building. India’s leading construction company L&T build it.

40,178 sq metres, that’s the area of UP Police headquarters. It has an auditorium with seating capacity of 500 people. Ground floor consist of a museum which shows the history of UP Police. 18 lifts, 150 CCTV cameras and 10 metal detectors are operational in this headquarter.

It has a cafeteria which can sit 350 UP Police employees at a time. Around 800 two-wheelers and 1,200 four-wheelers can be parked in one go at the underground parking facility. This 10-storey building has a helipad too. It is considered as the largest police headquarters in India and even the Asia.

Bihar Police Headquarters (Constructed At A Cost Of ₹305 Crore)

After UP Police one of the most beautiful state police headquarters is of the Bihar Police. It is constructed at a cost of ₹305 crore. It can sustain an earthquake of 9 points on richter scale. The Bihar Police headquarter is spread over 53,000 sq ft and has its own helipad.

The building has been named Sardar Patel Bhavan. In case of any disaster (for which Bihar is famous), the building has an electricity backup for 10 days. In 2018, Bihar Police shifted its headquarters in this new building.

An auditorium with a seating capacity of 475 people and a badminton court is also available. Around 450 four-wheelers can be parked here in one go. To go inside one must needs to have a card.

Hyderabad Police Command Centre (Constructed At A Cost Of ₹600 Crore)

One of the most modern looking police headquarters is of the Telangana Police. It is located in Banjara Hills. In 2016, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao commissioned it. This headquarter is constructed at a cost of ₹600 crore.

The Telangana Police headquarters has a helipad on top, a data centre connected with lakhs of CCTV cameras across state and a war room. It is spread over 6.42 lakh sq ft. An auditorium with a seating capacity of 480 people is available in this building. It is 273-foot-tall building which houses a parking for 600 four-wheelers and 300 two-wheelers.

The Telangana Police headquarter has 5 towers and it is a 20-storeyed building. Office of the police commissioner is on 18th floor in Tower A. For electricity generation it has a 0.5 MW solar panels. On 14th and 15th floor there’s a museum which showcases the heritage of Telangana Police.

Andhra Pradesh Police Headquarters (1.10 lakh sq ft building)

Adjacent to Telangana’s Hyderabad there’s Andhra Pradesh. The headquarters of Andhra Police headquarters is as beautiful as the Hyderabad Police Command Centre. In 2017, Andhra Pradesh Police shifted its headquarters to a new 1.10 lakh sq ft building.

The Andhra Pradesh Police headquarters is constructed at a cost of around ₹40 crore. It has four floors and it was constructed in record time of just 10 months. Government alloted 5 acres of land for the new police headquarters, the main building is constructed at 2 acres. On 16 August 2017, then CM Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated it.

Delhi Police Headquarters (Construction Cost – ₹286 crore)

The 5th police headquarters in this list is of the Delhi Police. It is located in Jai Singh Road in Central Delhi. It’s a 17-floor building which is constructed at a cost of ₹286 crore. In 2019, Delhi Police shifted its headquarters to the new building inaugurated by Home Minister Amit Shah.

It has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 people. Its basement parking can accommodate 1000 vehicles in one go. 12 residential flats and a police museum has also been constructed in this building. The Delhi Police headquarters is spread across 8.90 lakh sq ft and is 75-metres tall. Like Bihar Police headquarters, the Delhi Police headquarters is also earthquake resistant.
